Who publishes IT Pro Insights

IT Pro Insights is an independent, one-person technical publication. It is
written, edited, and published by Thorsteinn Halldorsson, a Senior Cloud
Engineer with 25+ years of hands-on experience across the
datacenter-to-cloud stack.

That is what "we" means on this site: there is no newsroom behind it, no agency,
and no anonymous content team. Every article carries his byline, and the full
archive is browsable by topic from the site navigation.

The site is self-funded and runs on Microsoft Azure in the EU (West Europe
region). It earns revenue from display advertising. No affiliate links are
currently used; if any are introduced they will be disclosed on the page they
appear on. Advertising does not decide what gets covered or what gets
recommended — recommendations are made on technical merit.

What we cover, and who it's for

The audience is the person who actually operates the platform: administrators,
cloud and platform engineers, DevOps practitioners, consultants, and security
teams. Articles assume you have a job to finish, so they lead with a summary and
then get to the configuration.

Each article is labelled beginner, intermediate, or advanced, and shows an
estimated reading time, so you can judge the fit before you commit to it.

How our articles are made

Drafts are produced with AI assistance, and every article is then researched
against authoritative sources, run through an automated quality gate, and read,
corrected, and explicitly approved by Thorsteinn before it publishes. The full
process — sourcing, version pinning, review, cadence, and how superseded articles
are handled — is set out in the editorial policy, and
corrections explains how to report an error and how fixes are
marked.
